As you move through the decision process, you may have questions about our students, faculty, the Boston area, experiential opportunities, and what it is like to be a first-year law student. You will find some of the answers to your questions on this website.
We have created a step-by-step checklist to assist your process. When you complete a task, mark it “done,” and, if you access this site from the same computer each time, your browser will remember where you left off.
These deadlines apply to students in the traditional JD program with classes beginning in the fall. If you are an accelerated JD student beginning classes in May, please see important dates and deadlines found in the Accelerated JD FAQ.
To apply for financial aid, complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA), available starting December 2023 at studentaid.gov. Suffolk Law awards financial aid on a rolling basis. Apply by the March 1 priority filing deadline.

Reserve your seat in the entering 2024 class by paying your nonrefundable $500 deposit. Deadlines vary, so check your admit letter for your deadline.
Our Admitted Student Day Open House is a great way to meet your future classmates, try out a mock class, and talk to professors.
We will send your login information to the email address you used when you applied. Be sure to notify us of any contact information changes, such as to school email addresses that will no longer be accessible.
Search for apartments and find roommates through Suffolk University’s Law and Graduate Student Off-Campus Housing Office.
The exact tuition due date will be announced mid-2024, but this is when you should get your payment in and/or make sure all your financial arrangements are in place.

Your class schedule, professors, exam schedule and section assignments will be available in early August.
You can obtain your student ID from the security office in the lobby of the Suffolk Law Building, 120 Tremont Street. We recommend doing this before the first day of classes to avoid the rush.
The certification of disclosures is required by the ABA before you start classes. A link to complete the form will be sent 2 weeks before classes begin.
Want a certain number or location? First-come, first-served.
If you need special access, equipment, or other accommodation, contact the Office of the Dean of Students on the 4th floor by this date.
Submit final undergraduate transcript to LSAC, if you did not already include a final transcript when you applied. A transcript is final when it states the degree earned and date awarded.
